Just got a white Exora with leather seats and spoiler last month. Now mileage still 775km.Got a plan to fit aftermarket fog lights,DVD,16 inch rims and front armrest. So far tried 7 onboard to Machap JB.Pick up quite slow especially driving up a slope.Notice this MPV perform well during 2.5-3.5k rpm especially after 2nd gear.Although its just a middle line version i'm impressed with the features suchs as bluetooth,WMA,and ABS.IMO its not suitable for 7 full grown adult.5 adults 2 or 3 kids is more appropriate.Anyway its a bargain MPV under 1.6.FC now is arounsd 8.2litre per 100kmh based on average 50%city 50% highways with speed no more than 100kmh.Should be better after the 1st service.Gonna try drop in performance filter to improve the acceleration.

got my A/T exora in mar. now clocked about 5.5k, just did my 2nd svc using idemitsu 10w30 mineral oil. will change to syn oil at 10k. when 1st got car-FC was really bad! now averaging at least 10km per litre--noticed better FC with caltex than the rest. car is behaving well-no major problems yet... except the petrol smell especially when just filled up. the workshop claim that they resealed something---still getting the smell when starting the engine. need to wind down to release the petrol fumes for a while before the air is fresh again...funny wonder how the smell got in???

^Obviously this is QC problem, there's some rubber seal leaking somewhere. Maybe is the air cond filter part that gives you such problem. Suggest try to start your car without air cond for 1 or 2 minutes and see how it goes.

confirm no leak, as i search everywhere.... its just the petrol fumes....I also think maybe linked to the a/con filter or the vents not properly blocking the outside air. but does the exora has a a/con filter? not stated in manual or may have missed it? pls. enlighten.thks!

Every air cond system should have a filter.... Or the fresh air knob is faulty. But still, such problem you should not be facing. Send back for checking will be better.

^Yes, you are right on this. Proton's SC knowledge are quite bad sometimes. But lucky my area's SC are quite good as they are the first Proton SC from 80's.
